    Lightness of Blue

    Hi,

    Here are some renders I made from this reference image. I started modeling rough shapes with sketchup photo match, then switched to 3ds (a bit of ZB for the sofa's seat), VRay, and PS.

    I love the crumpled paper!

    Something with the steel table material is not right. You'll probably need to act more with the diffuse and less with bump - just a suggestion.

    Be more subtle. Take every bitmap value half way down (especially bumps) and you'll be a lot closer to the realism you'r after.
