    Its getting cold...

    My first winter scene...

    Software: 3DS Max 2012, Forrest Pack, Crazy Bump, Vray 2.0, After Effects CS5

    Still needs a bit of photoshop work; more to come.

    Really like the atmosphere max FX ! But I don't like the bark of the trees, not realistic at all.
    What's the proportion of AE in the post-production of your render ?

    thank you for the comments and the link to the tutorial, very useful. I agree the bark is terrible. I was having difficulties trying to unwrap their UVW maps to create a more realistic effect. After Effects was used mainly for color correction, using Magic Bullet Looks

    just finished another... i added a displacement map to the trees for a snowy effect and I tweaked their texture and uvw mapping.

    here's the final product:
