Fast five interview:
1. Can you introduce yourself?
Ernest Kośka: My name is Ernest Koska. I’m a 3d generalist in Bucket studio (www.bucket.com.pl). The software i’m using in my work: 3ds max, Vray, Photoshop, Zbrush. I graduated from Politechnika Radomska (Radom, Poland) where I studied in the multimedia faculty. Now I’m living and working in Warsaw, Poland. Here I’ve been working in two different studios – one of them specialized in architectural, the other focused on tv commercials and advertising as well. This gave me the opportunity to learn a lot of different CG techniques. As a result of that I now feel comfortable in various cg challenges.
2. What inspires you?
E.K.: I’m inspired by cg artists like Bertrand Benoit in architecture design or Dan Brooks in advertising/automotive. There are a lot of different CG portals and forums on the internet that i visit often where I can find great cg works. Overall, what inspires me is other creative people.
3. Why and when you started your adventure with CG?
E.K.: My adventure with 3d graphics started 4 years ago. About 3 years ago i started to do commercial work, initially in architecture .My friend showed me some of his architectural work done in 3ds max. I liked it so much that I am doing it to this day. The friend that introduced me to his work is now my colleague and we work in the same studio. Obviously I was familiar with graphics design before; I studied it at university where I was doing video editing in Adobe Premiere and AfterEffects.
4. Any plans for the future?
E.K.: I would like to increase the size of the studio that I work in. I would also like to do more automotive commercial work – possibly Animation. I wish to develop and improve my skills in order to become better at what I do. There are more experienced people at my workplace which raises the standard of my work.
5. Anything else you want to add?
E.K.:Keep working – that’s all.
